Anyone used "fashion Union" cos I got a catelogue out of the blue and love most of the contents...BUT...

...many of the clothes are not on models but 'invisible manakins' with perfectly round and pert beasts so you can't see what they woudl really look like on a proper body

and the models that are in teh catelogue are all wearing cardigans/jackets so you can't see how the short sleved tops fall on the arms...

...and the products all say rrp £50, you pay £25. Is that a bit dodgy???

BUT I love most of the tops and want them all (but only if they are actually nice and good value).

what do you think?

doesn't look anything special to me -sorry

pukkapatch · 13/03/2008 13:45

the stuff looks good, but as you said, you cant really tell.
if no one comes along with any first hand experience, you will have to be the mn guinea pig. buy it, see what its like, then tell us....

SlightlyMadSecretSoundWinner · 13/03/2008 17:13

I don't buy "anything special", quite the opposite, I want cheap but good.

I have just never really heard of them, get a random mailshot and fall in love with the tops (which is amazing as I struggle to find stuff I actually like).

I guess if I spend £35 I get a free top, free delivery and free returns so there is no risk right???

you are begining to sound like someone looking for free advertising.
the stuff isnt really anything special. so your insistance on falling in love with them sounds quite odd. and your repetition of the great bargains they are dont ring true either.

I got the mailout too and thought the same (and I have NO connection with the company!!) My only slight misgiving is that there is a lot of man made fibre in the items which I personaly really don't like next to my skin. I think I might order a few bits and see - you can always send it back if it doesn't look / feel right!

SlightlyMadSecretSoundWinner · 14/03/2008 13:43

I certainly don't work for them (I am a v regular MNetter with a career in Science - ask MB), I jsut struggle to find clothes I like, I flicked thru the catelogue saw lots of tops which I liked.

If you read my OP I was questioning whether they were reputable...

I hadn't checked the fibres - will have a look before I buy

They look quite nice to me, but I don't know if i'm looking at the same thing as you because I don't see any models wearing cardigans over the tops

SlightlyMadSecretSoundWinner · 14/03/2008 14:36

Arrrh yes have just checked the website and they don't have any models, just invisible manakins with cone shaped breasts. I was looking at a physical catelogue.

I think I am going to order some stuff and give it a try (tis my birthday next week anyway ) and make sure I order £35 worth so it costs me nothing if I don't like it

Let me know the feedback....if my past history is anything to go by it will take me a month to get round to doing it...
