Thanks! I wore my Bourjois foundation at a party and when I saw the photos it looked like I had nothing on! My skin is good and healthy but I didnt look polished. I looked like I was sans makeup! I used a setting spray.

Diorskin Glow is my go to

Ohthisisimpossible · 22/11/2023 21:16

I love Hourglass

Warmandbright · 22/11/2023 21:22

L’Oréal True match timed serum. It’s so flattering on my older skin. I love it! And has great coverage without being cakey!

LibbyL92 · 22/11/2023 21:38

Lady gaga Haus Lab! Incredible.

Vanillalime · 22/11/2023 22:03

I normally wear Mac Studio Fix foundation however I recently bought the Mac Studio Radiance foundation as I felt like I needed something a bit more dewy. It’s really lovely & I recommend. They have 25% off on their website currently too.

Summerhillsquare · 22/11/2023 22:07

Estée Lauder doublewear

I needed this thread! Thanks

AdrianaLaCerva · 22/11/2023 23:03

Right! I’m going to try a few of these. Thanks y’all.

goodgriefsean · 22/11/2023 23:03

Illamasqua beyond foundation is my go to.

overthinkersanonnymus · 22/11/2023 23:24

I've worn double wear forever (it is THE BEST ) but it's too drying for my 37 year old skin

I'm now using Charlotte Tilbury beautiful skin. It's dewy and really nice coverage but not as long lasting

totalnamechanger · 22/11/2023 23:29

I’ve used some nice Chanel and Lancôme in the past. Tinted moisturiser when I was younger.

Now I use the Number 7 Hydraluminous mentioned by a pp. It’s reasonable price and medium coverage for everyday. I think Chanel discontinued a few of my go tos. If I want a more polished look I use a Mac powder (mineralize skin finish) - I sometimes just pop this over my existing Number 7 for an evening out if I don’t have time to redo all my make up. I’m a similar age to you.

Following with interest.
I have been really happy with Dior Forever but I think it's better on summer skin somehow. It seems to really emphasize dry patches and fine lines in colder weather.
I'm 50+ and photographed a bit through work, it's so true that the camera 'eats' makeup. What looks good in person in natural light/daytime/close up can show up completely different on camera. For me to look like a decent version of myself in photos I look absolutely caked in makeup irl. And that is sometimes with a professional makeup artist.

I've recently bought the Maybelline super stay skin tint foundation & it's been amazing, every other foundation looked awful on my skin, cakey almost but this is great, I look healthy, dewy, the coverage is great & it sits well with other products. Really suits my skin which can be dry & I have slight roseca but this covers it up without looking caked on,I look put together & I really enjoy it.

Mirrormeback · 23/11/2023 02:11

I've been using No 7 Hydraluminous and just started using No 7 Stay perfect for the same reasons as you OP wanting to look slightly more polished. I'm very happy with the results

I used to use Clarins everlasting foundation and Lancôme Teint idol both of which I recommend

Mirrormeback · 23/11/2023 02:13

EL double wear was too thick and dry for me

merrymelodies · 23/11/2023 02:32

Damonalbarnsbigtoe · 22/11/2023 22:51

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua

Same! I've been wearing this since 2010 and it's perfect, even though I have fairly dry skin.

moleeye · 23/11/2023 05:56

Armani luminous silk.

I'm 43 with normal skin and it's amazing

GracePalmer33 · 23/11/2023 05:59
