Office Wear - Winter Footwear

I drive to work and occasionally drive to see Customers.

I mainly wear smart jeans or slim ankle grazer trousers to work that look chic with kitten heels or higher heel shoes in warmer weather.

I have just ordered a pair of basic leather heeled ankle boots for winter and all my bottoms look daft with them. Jeans are too short (not in a good way as cropped would). Trousers are just weird - the ankle grazer works only when you can see the ankle.

What am I to do - do I need another set of longer jeans / trousers then?

What does everyone else wear if you do not want to change footwear under desk?

How high do yours come up the leg? I'd maybe look for some that go further up as then there's no gap between the trousers and the boots.

They come in different styles from a close shoe boot to a really chunky stomper boot.
