Dyson deal - Hair dryer or air wrap?

Im keeping an eye on deals, and the Dyson outlet on eBay have the supersonic with all attachments and case for £168 which is the cheapest I've seen it (it is refurbished).

Should I hold out for the air wrap? Does it do everything the dryer does but with extra styling options?

I just ordered the hairdryer on this deal after talking with friends who have the air wrap. They say it’s great for styling but the hairdryer attachment isn’t the best so they don’t tend to use it as a dryer. As I’m not worried about having the other tools of the air wrap the dryer suits me best so think about what you would use.

I got rid of my supersonic when I got the airwrap last year. It works fine as a dryer on my hair (fine but lots of it), a bit slower than the supersonic but still faster than normal dryers.

I've gone with the 'bird in the hand' and ordered the dryer, hoping the special attachment for smoothing hair is good too. I'm not a morning person so speed of drying is quite important too, so the advice has really helped - thank you!

Mine arrived today. Brand new in sealed box with two year warranty. Tried it out and the flyaway attachment is great. I hope you have the same experience!

I have the super sonic and love it. I struggle to decide between both but the drying function was the most important as I and dd have long thick hair that we wash several times per week. It's also good for drying the dog!

Fab - mines just arrived, so will see how I go with hair smoothing. Only gripe is it said it would come with the presentation case and it didn't. It would probably sit gathering dust, but still...

Liking the hair smoothing attachment a lot, and have been informed the case is on its way too.

Have since been reading about the shark styler and think for a real all in one dryer / styler that'd probably be a good option. Rarely use tongs though and very happy with the Dyson though

Dryer is much better. I have both and to be honest not too impressed with the air wrap. I get a better result drying my hair with the dyson dryer and then curling with the cloud 9s and then brushing through. Air wrap gives a looser look and any dampness at all in the air just leaves my hair looking weird and kinky and fluffy.
