Has anyone ever worked as a personal shopper in a store?

Hi-I am a trained personal stylist and I am considering applying for a job as a personal shopper in a store to gain more experience and confidence before hopefully setting up on my own.

Has anyone here worked as one and can tell me any more about what it is like? Or perhaps you know someone who has worked as one? I wondered how you found the work day to day? Was there an induction process or did you start work straight with customers by yourself? How much did you enjoy it? How were the hours and customers? I am slightly concerned when I read about the sales targets etc.

Thanks for your help.

Personal Shopper as in a shop assistant working in a store approaching customer's looking to buy something, or as in a Personal Assistant, doing the shopping on behalf of someone else?

Hi thanks for your reply. So I am wondering if anyone has been a personal shopper for a store like Selfridges, John Lewis or Harvey Nichols (or similar), where customer sign up for a few hours with you and you select clothes to suit their style and shape.
