Please help me find a top with my skirt

Hi all,

Can you please help me find a top that will go with this skirt please? I really love this skirt but am finding it hard to find something to go with it.

I am planning on wearing black boots with it for an afternoon Christmas tea. So thinking of something that isn’t night out dressy but not too casual either. I’m only 5ft 1 too so don’t suit anything baggy/oversized. Ideally something that would sit on my hips I think but open to any ideas! Thank you all so much, all suggestions gratefully appreciated.

Black or black/white fleck short high neck jumper

I have the M&S black sparkly wrap top at £25 (sorry, I don't know how to link) and wore it with their similar skirt in gold. Felt dressy but not overly so as the sparkle is minimal and the wrap sits high up.

The way they have styled it on the website isn’t very good imo. I would style with a nice black jumper probably with a thin thermal underneath.

Hi skirt is gorgeous - some great and very reasonable options at George Asda - depending on dressing up\ down or occassion and some great ones at Mint Velvet too!

Plain t shirt and a chunky knit over the top

I have a similar M&S one in gold and I style it with a black satin shirt, a thin black tank top and black knee boots. It’s lovely to wear.

A neat, fitted, fine-knit black jumper would look good. Zara often stock such things.
