What would you recommend for naturally wavy/frizzy but usually dry it straight hair? I use Aussie but fancy a change but want to stick to something can find in Boots etc!

John Frieda without a doubt.

I occasionally try others but I always go crawling back to John Frieda.

Lovingangelsinstead · 17/11/2023 11:04

I like pantene

HavfrueDenizKisi · 17/11/2023 11:05

There really isn't a best. It's what is best for your hair type.

I have curly prone to frizz hair and use Aussie mega. I've tried loads of different ones. All are ok. Some are terrible (I hated John Frieda for example) but others swear by them. I've tried top end and cheap. I've bought directly from hairdressers. In the end I always end up going back to Aussie.

I have long thick wavy hair and swear by Garnier’s banana hair food conditioner. You can get it for as little as £3 a tub in pound shops etc. I’ve tried loads of really expensive salon conditioners and this easily beats them all for my hair.

Hoolahoophop · 17/11/2023 11:44

Loving faith in nature shampoo and conditioner bars at the moment. Wearing it curly.

Ponks · 17/11/2023 12:38

Tresemme suits me and is cheap as chips.

scepticalexpat · 17/11/2023 12:46

Dry curly hair and really like Aveeno conditioner. I co-wash my hair with Sainsbury's apple conditioner, then condition with Aveeno afterwards.

Pinkyzstar · 17/11/2023 12:48

I normally use the Kérastase Resistance shampoo and it's good.

GonnaBeYoniThisChristmas · 17/11/2023 13:16

I have bleached (very blond) hair and find the purple Pantene one is great.

GonnaBeYoniThisChristmas · 17/11/2023 13:16

Agree it depends on hair type. My daughter who has long thick hair does really well with argon oil/coconut oil type shampoos.

Lovethatforyouhun · 17/11/2023 13:27

Cheapo and good for frizzy hair i like Garnier Blends coconut the brown bottles no sulphates or silicones.

Pashazade · 17/11/2023 13:27

Dove do a range called Amplified for coils/curly hair, I like it, makes a nice change. Can't remember which website I got it from.

AllTheWatersTurnedToClouds · 17/11/2023 13:57

I have silver hair and agree the purple Pantene is great

SgtJuneAckland · 17/11/2023 14:00

The new Aussie one for curls is really good, it's made a big difference to my hair. Other than that I like l'occitane bar shampoo and the matching conditioner, with the pink label, it's a bit spendy though (this could be because I use a gallon of conditioner a week)

Milknosugarta · 17/11/2023 14:02

I have thick coarse hair and Pantene suits me.

headcheffer · 17/11/2023 14:07

I like expensive shampoo and conditioner and often use baby shampoo and then an expensive conditioner. However... I love Alberto balsam and it's possibly the cheapest there is!! Great stuff.

DupontsYellowDressingGown · 17/11/2023 14:20

OGX

dontgobaconmyheart · 17/11/2023 16:07

I really think it depends and honestly I don't think any of them are fantastic (that I've tried).

I'm quite liking the OGX kukui oil range at the moment, smells gorgeous and doesn't weigh my hair down. It's one of the first times I've actually repurchased a bottle of shampoo once it's empty and not just used it up and moved on.

NeedWineNow · 17/11/2023 18:16

I’ve used the Herbal Essences colour shampoo and conditioner (in pink bottle) for ever. I’ve tried others but always go back to it.

yellowlane · 17/11/2023 18:18

We love Maui (usually but it on offer). The bottles last a long time.

L’Oréal Detangling Conditioner.

JudyGemstone · 17/11/2023 18:40

OGX is sulphate/paraben free so good for a cheaper brand

AlanJohnsonsBeemer · 17/11/2023 18:41

Superdrug Revive with keratin (white and pink bottle) suits my hair which sounds similar. It is cheap as chips, usually has an offer on top and is also not tested on animals.
