Is this too boring for works Xmas do?

I started a new job a year ago, this is the first social event I’ll be going to (primarily virtual job, we live all over the country).

We’re going for Christmas lunch, followed by drinks and crazy golf. I might be in the office in the morning (office attire is business casual).

with it being a daytime event (and needing to be office appropriate and crazy golf feasible) I was thinking something like this sweater dress with black tights and ankle boots..:

Is it appropriate? Is it too appropriate and therefore boring?

Sounds perfect OP! You could wear sheer tights (maybe patterned/polka dot) to jazz it up a bit but it's a lovely outfit either way.

Ahh wonderful!! Thank you - I’ll get it ordered!! Yes I was thinking black quite sheer tights but I’ll explore some with a subtle pattern that might just make it a bit ‘more’!
