Hair dye - how do I colour match?

It’s time for me to start covering my greys. I’ve ignored them for long enough. I don’t want to pay a salon to dye my hair - where I live this would cost £150+ which is just unsustainable.

I suspect that a permanent home dye would be best, but I just don’t know how I’m meant to pick the correct colour. There seem to be multiple brands selling millions of shades of brown. If I pick the wrong shade I’m stuck with it for months.

How do others manage this?

If you go onto Youtube you will get lots of videos showing you how to dye your roots and get the right colour. Or you could check out e-salon.
