Hairspray for finer short bob hair please help!

I've had my fine straight hair cut from lower shoulders up to chin length bob.

I bought tresemme no 3 but it's a bit strong. I want to achieve a bit of natural hold, my hair is mid brown with a tendency to being dry ends but greasier at roots. Has anyone used the Tresemme no 2?
I'm realising I'm going to have to wash this mop more often it's got to be tended to more than I remember shorter hair being.

My hair is fine but quite dense luckily, so I want to avoid the helmet look. I'm envisioning healthy swishyness!

Not keen on the smell of Elnette.

Back in the day when I had very short hair I think I used Silivikrin, but I'm quite sure hairsprays have a come on since the 80's!

Thanks 😊

Or, is there a good mouse that will do something.
I'm afraid of mousse but willing to try!

It's ellnette that you need though it's a flexi hold. I have the same cut and hair type and also find using a serum will help it keep its shape - got2b Oilicious is the one for me.

Love your user name are you Cornish by any chance?
I'm in Devon.
Is the Ellnette a specific one.

Is the serum ok not too greasy?

Thanks

Elnett do a fragrance free which is great. Percy and reed hairspray is also good, flexible hold and smells nice.

Thankyou shall Google

I really like Moroccanoil Medium Hold Hairspray. (I have fine flyaway shoulder length hair) It holds but allows some movement so no helmet hair.

Rather than a hairspray I'd use Orbe Dry Texture spray, as a fine haired girl myself. It's the best.

Knackeredhamster · 15/11/2023 10:41

Thankyou shall look up the hairspray.

Why do you prefer the dry texture spray and how do you tend to use it for the best look.

It adds movement and hold without that crunchiness or stiffness. I can kind of tease it throughout the day and it will oomph back up

I have the same hair/haircut as you and prefer texture spray. It gives my thin soft hair some grit which help holds shape while allowing it to move (avoiding the helmet hair) I am trying out Moroccanoil texture spray atm. I also like toni and guy dry shampoo for finer hair

Thankyou for your suggestions!
