Not exactly much of a a style question I'm sorry but seriously ..... I have several lovely necklaces and really long hair
All are currently covered in my hair .
I've heard you can light a match to it but don't want to risk this as these are decent metals / family heirlooms
I've tried tweezing them off but that does pull on the finer ones
Any other tips hugely welcomed! X

A needle and a lot of patience.

Kind of gently snip along the length if the necklace with nail scissors and then pull/ work it off.

This is why I don't wear necklaces, I also hate the pinch when a necklace grabs hold. Always made my hair ratty there. Anyway, good luck finding a solution!

I use nail clippers and carefully snip the hair at various points and slowly pull it out. Baby nail clippers if it's a very fine necklace. Too scared to use scissors. Any tips for how to untangle fine necklaces?

My hair is shoulder length and I can't wear snake-type necklaces for this reason, they just eat my hair. I'm okay with chains though.

I'd go with a lighter and just be very quick. Hair will sizzle away to nothing in a second or two, metal shouldn't be damaged by one second exposure to flame.
