Body shop camomile cleansing balm is the absolute business for taking off all make up including mascara-just rub it in and wipe it off, it just melts away. I couldn’t live without it. I wipe it off with a reusable face pad thingy. It’s also fantastic for removing kids face paint.

Estée Lauder Take It Away

My favourite makeup remover (for both eyes and the face) is the Ceramide Replenishing Cleansing Oil by Elizabeth Arden. I just rub the oil into my lashes and use a thin, wet face towel to get everything off. The oil REALLY removes EVERYTHING, and has no fragrance in it, so not irritating at all.

Came in to recommend this one, it's the absolute business and doesn't sting at all (I have very sensitive eyes).

If they ever discontinue it, I shall RIOT.

I like Clinique take the day off

TreadSoftlyOnMyDreams · 12/11/2023 11:53

I use La Roche Posay Eau Micellaire for everything. Does face and eyes, no rinsing and is suitable for sensitive skin.

I'm rubbish (lazy) at taking off my makeup but this stuff has been a game changer as it's so straightforward.

It's not terribly good at waterproof mascara, but then I expect to take everything off easily so it's probably normal to have to make more effort for that stuff. I've worn it once on holiday and it was such a pain to take off I binned it.

A 400 ml bottle last me months and months. About £15 from Boots

Nivea Double Effect!

The one that's half blue half clear (when unshaken)

I wear thick eyeliner and a few swipes, it's gone. No rubbing.

And only £1.99!!

Nivea double effect. The best by far.

MyPennorth · 12/11/2023 22:10

If you’re away from home and forget eye make up remover, hair conditioner works.

JMSA · 13/11/2023 00:30

Oh my God, I have done the rounds of all of these. I wear Benefit Rollerlash and it simply will not budge. Or at least it didn't, until I started using this.
Hands down, the best (and cheapest!) eye make-up remover you will ever try.

Another vote for the Nivea Double Effect!
It’s often on offer but @MarshmallowsOnToast where is it only £1.99? Please share…I haven’t seen it that cheap and need some more! 😀

Simple eye make up remover

Lifesd · 14/11/2023 22:28

They have discontinued chamomile body shop haven’t they?! I’ve been furious and not been able to get it for months - have had to go to simple which is adequate but not great!

zurala · 14/11/2023 22:31

Clinique take the day off is the best.

You can make your own version with equal amounts of witch hazel and oil (I like avocado but olive would be fine). Shake before using to mix.

egowise · 14/11/2023 22:52

Most oils will do a great job.

My favourite is superfacialist vitamin c oil. Removes even waterproof mascara with no problems!

It's still available in my local Body Shop. They better bloody not discontinue it!!

Bioderma Sensibio Cleansing Micellar Water for Sensitive Skin, the only one I’ve used that doesn’t sting my eyes and 100% removes eye makeup

Simple eye make up remover

Ugh no. Simple makes me feel like my eyeballs are bleeding.

I've given up and just use a tubing mascara now. Then Elemis balm to get the rest off.

ThelmaBorden · 16/11/2023 18:59
