Boden: Johnnie should try harder

Have just sent an email to Johnnie (well his Customer Service Team really) complaining about the quality of womens' wear going down the pan and and sending out catalogues which when you order from suddenly get told item is unavailable for WEEKS. I think it's very poor indeed. Anyone else agree with me?
And the big button cardigan colours look great but in the hand they are so sludgy and 'meh'. had to send three back!

So you all think he can do no wrong?

i think after '£24 for aset of cotton panties'gate the general consensus is boden is shit and tkaing the piss.

fishie · 11/03/2008 15:21

i had to send a £60 jumper which went all bobbly, i handwashed it too. have also complained about out of stockness, too irritating.

Pannacotta · 11/03/2008 15:25

I have onbly ordered a few things but sent all back as they were so disappoinging in RL.
Think their sizes are really weird too, maybe not if you ave a 24" waist - but who does?? Is another thread about this at the mo too.
Just dont order from Boden, that simple really.

abigaillockhart · 11/03/2008 15:27

I really like my big button cardies

Agree with stock levels though - wanted a 'skort' for DD on holiday - they're out of stock for 17 weeks!!! It would be August before we got it.

marmadukescarlet · 11/03/2008 15:32

Last year I did an early oreder to get things for our mid summer term break, crap sizing so I had to return loads. Having chased and chased 2 days before hols I went to M&S and bought the children their summer stuff.

I then chased in the weeks leading up to our main summer hols to be told a) no one had done my returns, it had been logged into the warehouse and left and b) everything I wanted was now out of stock - I was offered £5 off my next order Joules anyone?

Fimbo · 11/03/2008 15:45

Direct quote from dh:-

"You paid £39 for that rag"

On first wearing of my new shirt thing. Haven't worn it since.

Pannacotta · 11/03/2008 16:34

Fimbo flog it on ebay. Send it back and invent a fault, they have a 3 month return policy. Or just tell them whar your DH said!!!

Seasider · 12/03/2008 13:28

No reply to my email, so I rang today. The three items I have ordered have all been delayed further. Am so irritated, they were very "blah" about it all too. Like marmadukescarlet and StheGoat I am so NOT likely to order again.

They just rang and asked me to re-send my email! ARRRGHHHHHHH

I've never ordered from Boden and don't think I'll start now. They keep sending catalogues though- why?!!

TsarChasm · 12/03/2008 19:18

I just don't get Boden at all. It's so ordinary but so overpriced.

tops too short...sit at unflattering level on between waist and hips & make you look huge!

Eve · 12/03/2008 19:26

also skirts all finish at unflattering length on mid calf or flare out v wise and finish at knee. ...makes you look like elephant hips!

Eve · 12/03/2008 19:26

...wide...not wise
