Fat Bridesmaid Slim

Help Me!!!

I am having a major confidence crisis. I am being a bridesmaid for a friend in a few weeks time. I had my (beautifulxx)baby girl just before Christmas and am still carrying all my baby weight. It is only round my middle though so I still look pregnant! Other than strapping my baby to my dress as a sort of broach to draw attention away from my enormous girth I am at a loss for what to do. Can anyone recommend a good pair of magic knickers or something similar that will help me to look at least a little slimmer??

Thanks

Second the trinny & susannah pants (renamed tranny pants ) but beware of shorter length b-maid dresses with them!!! Let's just say it was a windy day...

What's your dress like, by the way?

Sorry not to reply sooner, my friend who is getting married has been going into wedding meltdown. Who would get married eh?

My dress is quite comedy, a sort of peachy gold colour with an odd grey sheen on it.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I did a google search on the Spanx and came across a site called The Magic Knicker Shop. I emailed them and they suggested I go for a pair of Spanx Higher Power and quite a comedy contraption called an Esbelt Waist Cincher. It looks like something your granny would wear but my god it works!!! It makes my waist nearly 2 inches smaller. I can't really breathe or eat in it, but at least I look good!!!! I do rate the shop too - I ordered on Tues and everything arrived on Wed and they said I could exchange or return anything that didn't work with my dress. How much do I love shopping online?!?

I spent last night prancing around the house in my dress practising my jaunty hip photo angles which caused much mockery from my fella. I discovered that I no longer can walk normally in high heels as I haven't worn them for over 6 months!!
