What exactly is the Pob haircut and is it completely out of fashion now?

If a pob is a bob which is cut in at the nape of the neck and looks like a normal bob at the front, then I had mine cut in this style a couple of years ago and I loved it.
Its now a grown out bob, not had it cut since before christmas and it needs a bit of a tidy up.
The thing is, though I loved it when it was a pob but I'm not sure exacly what to ask for.

If anyone can make any sense of this this morning, can you please give me your advice - should I get it cut like a pob again or will it look naff?

I can't find a decent pic either - but I've been having bobs for years and as a teen had a thing about the sixties and an obsession with Sassoon bobs.

I would love to have my hair cut like Katie Holmes, blunt bob with a sharp fringe, however I have got whispy hair that goes frizzy, so I don't dare bother in case I end up looking like Anne Widdecombe.

well what i loved about the style was that it made my fine hair look the thickest it ever has, i got loads of comments on it at the time.
