Size 9/43, can I get away with wearing men’s loafers?!

I like the backless Tods / Gucci loafer look but with my big feet (for a woman), cannot buy from women’s dept.

does anyone have either of these or similar from the men’s section?

I’ve bought men’s/ boys boots before. Added bonus- they were a bit wider which was nice

I'm a size 8/42 and buy a lot of my shoes from the men's dept. How wide are your feet? Men's shoes are wider than women's so if you wear wide fitting women's shoes you should be ok. If not, I would think any men's ones will be too wide for you.

@Bigfootbetty as others have said, it will depend on the width of your foot too. Men’s styles do tend to be quite a bit wider.
I work in an independent shoe shop and we have lots of ladies that shop in the gents and lots of gents that shop in the ladies if they have smaller feet.

Not sure about the backless style but Gabor do some lovely loafers at the moment and they come in a ladies 9/43 😊

I've got lovely men's Camper biker boots in size 42.

I have wide size 42 feet and live in Asia. I have to buy men's shoes!!

In terms of shoes generally, you should be fine. I have smaller feet than yours, but do wear men's shoes in some types (walking boots, derbies).

I would be concerned about slip-on shoes slipping-off, since while I appreciate and want the wider space in the toe box, it is also wider at the heel. Try and see if your heel holds the shoe in place well or if there is heel slippage.
