Footwear with leggings

Going back to leggings this winter, not liking jeans at the moment. Thick non shiny or cord with dresses or chunky knits.
What footwear does the hive mind recommend ?
Late 50's and short , so a bit of a heel nice but negotiable

I wear slouch socks to give me the 80’s leg warmer look.

I’m almost positive this is so not trendy but I wear Michael Kors trainers (blingy ones with a bit of heel height) or if it’s cold over the knee close fitting suede boots

Flat ankle boots and black tights

I think leggings are casual, no matter what you wear them with and so footwear should be casual to match.

Trainers, Uggs or chunky flat boots. I don’t think heels go with leggings at all I’m afraid.
