Boots No 7 star gift - why can't I order it online for half price??

This is normally £85 apparently, but until the 7th November it's only £42. I went in to my third Boots today looking for it and the lady at the counter explained that the offer is online only.
Tried to order it online but it went through as £85. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

I’ve viewed all star gifts, filtered by no 7 and there is only one.

It's this one, https://www.boots.com/no7-the-ultimate-skincare-collection-10329879? Even says "Was £85 Now £42!" underneath the pictures.

Oooh that looks like a bad error or a glitch! there isn’t even an ‘offer’ banner/circle on it and it doesn’t come up if you go into offers and filter by brand.
Maybe screen shot and email them, but I can’t see them honouring it tbh.

I typed in what it says in your screenshot and it goes into the basket at 25.

It was £42 earlier in the week. I wonder if the offer has finished?

I think the offer is due to finish on the 7th, but perhaps they've sold out of the ones they were willing to sell at this price.

Sorry OP it's because Boots's website isn't fit for purpose.
I had a £150 order I tried for 3 hours to put through a week or so ago and it kept glitching, messing around with the prices of things, emptying my basket, logging me out in the checkout even as it said "welcome monpetitlapin" at the top of the page!
I gave up and bought my stuff from Sephora, whose site worked perfectly and they have a delivery pass. I'm just done with Boots now because I'm sick of this happening every time I try to buy something, and the app is even worse. And if you go in store as you say the prices are all different (I got hit with that last Christmas when I went to a store in desperation as the app was not functioning).
Their site isn't set up to handle the traffic they get and apparently they don't want to make significantly more money from happy customers by investing the £200,000 or so in a functioning e-commerce site and app.

I just had to abandon the idea of getting a No7 advent calendar completely which I'm still annoyed about.

@WhyDoIBloodyBother ah my mistake I only saw the screenshot post not the 1 after because I went for a peep on boots .

I found the app got better when I deleted and re installed it. I don't think they are very good at updates, so maybe try this.

I got for a gift last week for £42, but finished offer now.

It had stopped working altogether on my old phone but is pretty good on my new one so yes, it's not very good with older tech.
