YELLOW coat/jacket ?

... to go over the gorgeous French Connection shift dress I've bought to wear to a wedding? It's beaded with little bright yellow daisies (quite 60s) - I'd like something around thigh-length, maybe swing style/A-line - not belted/trench.

Anyone seen anything?

Maybe I should settle for a short jacket like this - what do you think that would be like over a just-above-the-knee shift dress???

Mmm, no (says she chatting to herself), needs to be same length/longer than dress. Knee length ish or just above.

Oh dear - I googled 'coat yellow' and came up with this, which I doubt would fit. Will continue to search...

nailpolish · 10/03/2008 16:40

not sure of this one but thought i would link anyway

nailpolish · 10/03/2008 16:41

this is v pretty think its a v v v v pale yellow?

nailpolish · 10/03/2008 16:43

give us a lnk to the dress

nailpolish · 10/03/2008 16:52

what about this its wool, would that be too heavy with a pretty dress?

franch · 10/03/2008 17:32

Dress isn't on FCUK site unfortunately NP. It's a sort of taupe colour with very bright acid-yellow beads in amongst the neutral ones. (Sounds pretty awful when I describe it like that but it's lovely.)

Thanks so much for suggestions. 1st M&S one too short I think; 2nd one too pale and too short; 3rd one (ironic that it's FCUK!) may not be right shade either but is def right style - will have to check length

Wool is fine I think NP - it's an early April wedding so heavy is prob good

franch · 10/03/2008 19:53

It's a nice site that Oli, NP - hadn't come across it before

Just spotted the description says Pale Mustard. Def need something brighter I think. Shame as the style is just right.

Agh I thought this would be easy! Seems I want something that doesn't exist
