I absolutely love L'eau Papier, can anyone recommend another?

I plan to go on a sniffing spree later next week so would love to know more.
Anything else to check out? If so, what does it evoke to you? I want a warming, winter fragrance that has complexity and depth.

L'ombre Dans is great, it was my signature scent for a while, but it's all greeness and broken stems and just... The opposite of the snuggly vibe?

Try tempo it’s a scent that always gets comments when I wear it. Lovely deep scent and lasts really well.

To the PP who asked where to try them - I am in the north and can easily find them to test in Manchester and Liverpool (Selfridges and John Lewis respectively).

A question about eau duelle ??

I have recently tried Laura Mercier's Vanille - it is awful on me! It has a very weird cloying effect, reminds me of the breath of suckling puppies, which might be cute, but not on my body! I love vanilla in general but this has made me so wary of fragrance.

Is eau duelle similar in this milkiness?

I haven’t smelt the Laura Mercier one but in general I’m not a fan of vanilla perfume as it’s too sweet and sickly for me. I’ve worn Eau Duelle for years now and love it! It’s warm and spicy, a grown up vanilla I suppose (sorry I’m not much help!)

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 04/11/2023 15:43

Eau Duelle is not sweet, it's not the foody type of vanilla, if that makes sense.

Now, if you try Eau Duelle and if you like it, then it might be worth trying Shalimar as well. I know it's not Diptyque, but it's a fabulous autumn scent.

Thank you, I will probably test this in a store, sounds promising.
I checked the notes in each perfume and they both share only bourbon vanilla. Hoping it isn't the offending article!
