What shoes & accessories with this dress?

Hello wise S&B people,

I’ve just purchased this dress to wear to my works Christmas party… how would you style it? I’m not a fan of my legs so am thinking opaque tights. But what shoes and bag? Do I also need some lovely jewellery?

Thank you, boots like that are a great idea I’d not thought of. I think I might have some in the depths of my wardrobe but may treat myself to some new ones. Love the earrings too!

if it is for a
xmas party i would wear a pair of black or nude low block heel open toe strappy sandals, nice bag and hair up.

and minimal jewellery as ur dress is sparkling enough. heavy smokey eye make up nude lipstick. faux fur coat.

I would probably wear tights, but not fully opaque. Something around 20-30 denier would probably work on me. I think it depends on skin tone.

I see lots of women in ankle boots with that kind of dress and I think it looks great. I can’t pull it off because my legs are proportionally short. But if your legs are proportionally long compared to your torso, I think that would work.

I definitely wouldn’t wear strappy open toe sandals because (a) tights, and (b) winter.

If you prefer block heel (I do as can’t wear stiletto heels) these are great value

Will get some different tights to try, I’m so pale I can’t have bare legs plus it’s December so probably going to be chilly!

Opaque tights, suede ankle books and statement earrings are on my shopping list.
