Just as the thread title really. I’m in my early 40s, and have always struggled with my hair. It’s fine, lacks volume, and is that particular wavy texture which always looks frizzy. If washed in the morning, it will be greasy at the roots by late afternoon and greasy down to my ears by the next day. I can’t straighten it as it just goes straight to frizz. It’s currently in a neck length bob.
I do a version of curly girl, washing, conditioning the ends, drying upside down and then using a little leave in conditioner and then curly gel, hairspray and heat protection before blow or air drying. It gives it more volume at the roots but it still looks frizzy and scruffy.
I’m coming out of a period where motherhood ate me up and spat me out, and I’d really like to look less frazzled mum and more cool, calm and collected. But my hair just always looks messy.
Would love some tips on how to look less scruffy and more put together with this hair type please. Techniques, hairstyles, accessories- anything really.
