A cosy, soft embrace of a jumper?

Any thoughts on where I could find a warm, loose but stylish jumper, the kind you reach for when the snow is on the ground and the heating is just not doing what it's meant to. I'm trying to avoid acrylic, fleecy combinations but they just don't seem to be out there without paying a second mortgage!

Definitely a bit £ but these jumpers are my absolute favourite. I own it in multiple colours - they do it every year - and they are so soft and cosy, a perfect knitwear hug.

If you don't mind preloved, when I needed exactly the kind of jumper you're looking for, I went to nearly new cashmere and ordered one of their chunky cashmere jumpers two sizes too big. It is pretty much perfect in every way and was very reasonably priced (for cashmere)

I picked up a cashmere jumper from Mango on Brand Alley this morning. It'll be a few days before it arrives but Mango knitwear is usually decent (if not the best of the best) quality for the price.

This jumper from Celtic & Co. is my favourite for cold days. It is just like a cosy hug!

Personally I think it's totally worth spending extra on cashmere if you can afford it. You're looking at around 90 quid for a cashmere jumper at the cheaper end. I have one from Hush that I got in the sale, I wear it all the time. It's just so warm and cuddly, without being sweaty. I hand-wash it in the machine and there has been some shrinkage but it's wearing ok. The elbows wore through on a cheaper one I had from John Lewis but i had it for a few years and wore it so so much. You could try a cashmere blend one?
