So for the pastbyear I've being colour my hair an ultra violet colour. Before this my hair was dark brown and for around 5 years. I didn't bleach my hair to get the violet it just became more lighter after each time I coloured it. I then got bored so put a more purple colour on that ive had a few months. It's not bright or anything. I decided to keep the purple underneath and coloured the top section dark brown and for now it looks OK but I'm not overly loving it. I'm not sure why. I do suffer low self esteem and at the moment feel abit rubbish. I don't feel it suits me and to be honest I don't know what would. I was thinking of keeping a darker root and maybe having caramel highlights through the ends. Obviously going to salon for this but would this be possible with the colour build up? Last time my hair was bleached it was a platinum and it was not in great condition so stayed away from it until now having a brain fart moment. I've mainly always been a dark colour. I just want to look a little younger and better about myself and the violet did make me feel good but it's such hard work to keep ontop of. Now I have 2 separate colours with no idea what to do with. Please help.

Not a hairdresser but I've used a product called Colour B4 which takes out colour dye without wrecking your hair like bleach. It's a bit of a faff to use but it does work. You can apply a new colour straight after, but choose a lighter one than usual because your hair will be super absorbent. Just my opinion, but purple is a hard colour to wear, for anyone! Caramel brown sounds good though.

Thankyou. Yes it's a very hard colour and as gorgeous as it is, I'd never do it again lol. I'm pretty sure I've used colourb4 at some point in the past or something similar which did take the colour out from what I can remember. I think the colour b4 may be my next step once I get bored of the brown and purple.
