Help! Skin is worse with azaelic acid, will it get better?

I regret ever starting to use skin care. I have always had amazing skin, slept with my makeup on ect ect ...
Anyway I bought a cleanser and since then (6 months ago) my skin is disgusting!

I stopped using it but the bumps never went. I signed up to skin and me who recommended azaelic acid 12% and niamicin 10%

Since using that for about one month now, my skin is worse! I am so so so worried that it will never go back to normal. It's just all bumpy and I don't know why.

Can someone help or re-assure me that this is just the initial purging.

Hey I was in the same position as you about a week ago. I started using prescription retinols about 6 months ago for anti aging and it ruined my skin so I’ve been trying to bring it back ever since using every product under the sun. Eventually I just gave up and did nothing one night last week and I woke up with the clearest skin I’d had in months!
if I were you I’d stop doing everything altogether. Wash your face at night with a salicylic acid cleanser, then just rinse with water and a cloth in the morning. If it feels dry still 30 mins after cleansing, use a tiny bit of moisturiser. Let your skin heal.
don’t squeeze anything at all unless it’s a proper whitehead, use Q tips to do it then dip another in some antiseptic and hold it on the top of the pimple. Once it’s dried add some savlon or germolene.
stay simple and your skin will get better xx
