Okay, so it’s dyed and there is a definite natural golden tone to it so I don’t want it to Ash. Do brunettes use purple shampoo or is there a different shampoo?

I think you need another pic. That one looks like a person with dark blond hair to me.

That’s weird, I consider myself as a brunette, but I think as I’ve had it coloured as it grey, my colour has gone lighter to stop regrowth.

To tone down redness in dark hair, brunettes use green or blue shampoo.

I wouldn't say you're a brunette at all though.

Sorry, that sounded a little rude!
I meant that you look more blonde and fair haired. Some fair haired people do lose the blondness as they go through life but they still look fair-haired, not brunette.

That hair is blonde. I would use silver or 🟣 shampoo on it

I definitely was in the past LOL

Purple shampoo would help with brassiness in that hair, and even darker.

Maytrix brass off blue shampoo and conditioner is your friend

Do you have dark brown hair which fades to this colour? Or are you getting it dyed this colour to hide the greys?

If it's fading this much (when was it last done?) you need a colour protect shampoo and conditioner, and perhaps ask your hairdresser if they can adjust your colour to reduce fade.

A purple shampoo might help reduce brassiness but it shouldn't fade this much. This is dark blonde hair.
