Rock and roll Jumpsuit for wedding

There was an excellent jumpsuit for 40th thread before so I’m hoping for some help:

I’ve been invited to a VERY fancy wedding at Christmas. Black tie, but lots of people from film and arts, a bit rock and roll. I want to wear a wow jumpsuit…

Im a size 8-10, 5 6 tall, decent arms, HATE any cleavage, struggle with open back as must wear a bra.rubbish tits. Short legs. Allergic to heels.

i really like clothes that are bold and statement, love androgynous.
Don’t like sexy/ girlie at all. (hot is fine though) Would like something out there, fashiony, a ‘piece’. Weird and wacky welcome, but not casual. Not cute.
You know in Romy and Michelle, the character that ended up editing vogue or something and wore a power suit to the reunion? I like the cut of her jib.

shoulder pads? Asymmetric? Very wide legs? Love an out there sillouette. Nancy mac is the minimum amount of wow…

love black, navy, blue, green, pale pink if it’s a deadly vibe, gold, sequin but can’t be ‘fun’.

the dream is: un-approachable millionaire who knows ju-jitsu and runs an art gallery and plays bass in a band.
(Obvs if I was that I’d already own this jumpsuit and need no help).

£200-£300?? Vinted etc fair game though. Rental also good…

Anything by Halston would certainly tick all your boxes. His clothes were originally worn during the disco and Studio 54 era. Definitely a disco aesthetic.

@apapuchi both pulling their punches due to colour I think. I appreciate the ruffle though.

@Lavenderosa golly the sequins are great. This is helpful cos broadly I can see that I don’t like a 70s lower leg or wrist flare, or that ABBA drapey feel that’s popped up on a few suggestions…

@TheLongRider i got wildly distracted by their ombré cardigan - do you think with a brightly coloured trouser underneath???

@ithinkicanithinkican i like all of these, but especially the super wide leg in pale sage. That’s dreamy.

Thank you all! I’m mostly learning here that i truly love a jumpsuit. These are the leaders but also i could tolerate some more crazy if it’s out there. Any giant bows???

The only thing is - jumpsuits are not at the forefront of fashion right now. So …🤷‍♀️ (It may not matter to you.)

If you could find out where Róisín Murphy gets her clothes, that would be a good lead. She has some amazing structural and out there looks.

The red river island one is such a nice idea BUT if you look at the fit the whole waist and crotch area looks very troubling to me.

Ooh some JUICY choices here
The neon green - Chefs kiss! Straight onto the shortlist (would also BANG with the maroon palermo coat)
The gold- sadly this would be a beautiful window onto the place that two babies lived, in all its bumpy glory. Also, underboob!
Kozmic onesie- bit of a clown/ tit parade mash up. I'm amazing they did this in three colour ways. My undying respect to someone who can made this work.
Pacey Wine- that colour! Amazing vibe! the neckline is tricky though, slightly strangulation vibe? longlist!
Gold Foil Gugu - on the model i detect some crotch munching BUT this is clearly THE ONE, its so exceptionally wonderful. BUT £381!!!! ARGH!!!!

@CountryCousin What is the fashion forward way to skin this cat? please no dresses tho. Gotta be able to high kick a baddie without showing cooch.

@TheLongRider I remember Roisin Murphy had big fluffy jumper game back in the day? A quick google shows me she is now wrapped like an extremely fabulous christmas gift, and a lot of triangles. I APPROVE of this approach.

@EverybodyJumpsuit I wonder if the cheaper Asos one is worth getting to try on and see how you feel about the colour/style in person? It's cheap enough to be worth a try on and can always return it if it's not for you! I used to sew cups into those bondage type dresses from the 2010s - wondering if a seamstress could do something similar to create some internal support for the ones where a bra won't work? Might be getting a bit too faffy though!

@Squirre I've JUST been on an Asos rampage. So many extreme jumpsuits, and all in the SALE mwhahaha I've bought 4 at £30 ish. I will report back.
