Skin on face looks like orange peel! Help!

I’m feeling quite exasperated. I’m not sure what (if anything) will work on this. The skin on my face, especially the cheeks, looks like orange peel. No amount of pore primer or foundation/bb cream will hide it and I’m so self conscious.

I follow a normal skin care routine and have been using tretinoin cream for a year from Dermatica.

The fine lines under my eyes have all but disappeared, but the orange peel cheeks remain.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there anything that can help?

My skin isn't (wasn't) far off. I too used a tret cream but my face didn't like it. The cream base did me more harm than the tret did good. Massive improvement using a gel formulation with no oils or waxes etc in it.

Also have you tried dermabrasion? Again I did and it was good for a little while then soon returned to its previous state. But you might have more luck than me.

See a dermatologist. It's open pores, but could be other things going on eg. types of rosacea cause thickened skin..

Mine was £250 first consult, but I feel like I've saved money not randomly buying wrong things, and the peace of mind is lovely.

@Gymnopedie Could I ask where you got your gel tret please? I love tret but I hate the claggy carrier cream!

Thank you for your suggestions, looking into them all now!

@Gymnopedie also interested to hear where you found your gel tret? Thank you.
