Quick, I’m in London, where can I buy a nice waterproof coat?

I’m in Covent Garden right now, but can travel. I’m after a classy long waterproof coat but it must go over my size 18 hips!

Ideally no more than about £200 at the very most.

Any ideas.

Uniqlo on Long Acre, or John Lewis on Oxford St. Muji might have them too; their Tottenham Court Rd store is near you, and lovely.

I was heading to Uniqlo to get some bits for DH anyway so I’ll look in there. I forgot about John Lewis, my local one doesn’t do clothes!

I was in Peter Jones (Sloane Square) yesterday evening and there was a very large, long black puffer coat on sale. It was on a sale rail near the Barbour section in ladies clothes.

Joules. They seem to specialise in waterproof coats. Other than that, Berghaus is professional but probably not available in Covent Garden.

Thanks all. I didn’t get anything in the end. I almost went for a trench coat from Hobbs who had 20% off. But I want it to replace my Seasalt coat that has lost its waterproofness and I’m not sure it would be much better.

You can buy coat sealant from amazon that makes coats waterproof again. I don’t remember the brand i used but i had a coat that had lost the waterproofness on one side and it worked!
