What new balance trainers do I need?

I’m jumping on the bandwagon and want a pair of white new balance trainers - I just have running trainers and really want a ‘nice’ everyday pair. Which are the ones in fashion at the moment or am I a year late?

How about buy the ones you like the look of rather than being a sheep.

Mxflamingnoravera · 24/10/2023 21:53

327s are slippery as fuck on stone. Never wear them in Dubrovnik in the piss wet rain. I'm mean it, they are dangerously slippery if it's wet underfoot.

jiinglebells · 24/10/2023 21:58

I love the 530s for everyday wear. Super comfy and have never let me down!

Floralovesflowers · 24/10/2023 22:03

Oops, that's a terrible link! I have the 574's in navy which replaced a grey pair.

I'm so happy that NB are popular again as they're easily the most comfy pair of trainers in my wardrobe.

Appleblum · 25/10/2023 00:46

530s. I have them cream/off white. Very comfortable. 2002Rs are nice too much I'm not sure if I've seen a white colourway for it.

Globules · 25/10/2023 00:47

Whichever ones you want and like the look of @TheWitche

You could even be daring and go for a non NB pair. I know it's not the MN way, but there's a whole world of great trainers out there. Not all of them are NB.

potatoes4all · 25/10/2023 01:06

I love my 327s - the most comfy trainers I've ever owned. They look great and are so grippy too.

potatoes4all · 25/10/2023 01:08

Mine are beige & black but I will be buying the green/brown ones too

I have some NB trainers - not sure which (but not 327s). They are my favourite in terms of look, but yep I went straight down the first time I wore them on a wet pavement. Ended up on my arse & bruised (body & ego).

shakeitoffsis · 25/10/2023 06:27

327s!

Mumaway · 25/10/2023 06:48

They come up small IMO, so consider half a size bigger

RampantIvy · 25/10/2023 06:52

Given that the weather is very mucky right now, if you want white trainers get some that are easy to clean.

Other brands are available.

CJCreggsGoldfish · 25/10/2023 07:01

I love my 327’s but did need to go up half a size. I would like a pair of 530’s but I don’t wear trainers much in the winter so holding off for now.

leccybill · 25/10/2023 09:15

574s are soooo comfy. I've a white and grey pair (and a black and purple pair).

Georgieporgie29 · 25/10/2023 09:32

I have a pair of the 327’s and they are so comfy. I recently got them covered in mud so went back to my old sketchers whilst waiting for them to dry and I realised how poor my sketchers were in comparison, hardly any support and not very comfortable. Also 327’s went in the washing machine and came out good as new.

MammaTo · 25/10/2023 10:12

The 530’s are super comfy - but I’ve got my eye on a pair of 9060’s too which are meant to be just as comfy.

NancyJoan · 25/10/2023 10:17

I ordered a pair of 327s yesterday. I bought a pair of 480s earlier in the year, but they are not comfy.

duchiebun · 25/10/2023 10:24

The obvious styles are a bit over now as everyone has moved onto Adidas sambas & gazelles, so go for the ones you love.

HiGunny · 25/10/2023 10:26

I'm waiting on a pair of 574s to arrive. I've had several 373s for the last few years but they no longer make them 😥 So hoping the 574 are a good alternative as I don't like the chunkiness of the 327s.

minipie · 25/10/2023 11:12

574s here, I have no idea if they are fashionable. But they are very comfy and at size 38 I can buy the child version with Velcro which is so much easier than laces.

You could even be daring and be pleasant in your response. Or, get this, you could just scroll past any posts that you just can't stop yourself posting snarky remarks on. That may be too difficult for you though.

OP, I love 327s and they are so comfortable. My latest pair of trainers are Adidas though and I love them.

Of course this is true.

However, mumsnetters overwhelmingly respond that New Balance trainers are incredibly comfy. Which was why I purchased a pair.
