Been duped on Vinted and seller being awful

I bought some "new" Nike on Vinted

They've arrived and I believe they are fake as the logos sont look quite right. They are also scuffed on the toes

I've opened a dispute and am talking to the seller but he's being quite abusive and saying I'm scamming him, and that I'm trying to return a different pair of shoes (I'm not)

So I'm worried that I'll send them back, and he'll claim they're not the ones he sent me

I can't find anything that helpful on Vinted or a way to speak to customer service so am unsure what to do

Did you raise an issue within 48 hours of delivery? If you go to your profile and your orders, you should be able to raise a support ticket from the item, but there is a limited time to do that.

The goods are "significantly not as descirbed". I think there might also be a specific option re fakes.

Have you been sent a different item than the photos? Have you marked it on vinted that you have an issue?

Dingdong99 · 23/10/2023 18:24

Yes i have, but it tells me to communicate with the seller. And he's being very nasty (and racist!)

Ok I've not managed to report it to Vinted, sent photos etc. I'm just concerned that if / when I send his trainers back, he'll claim I've sent something different back
