I’ve heard good things. Are they worth it? I was thinking of asking for one for Christmas off DP.

I've had mine at least 12 years and still works perfectly. Worth every penny! Previous cheap ones never lasted.

HappyAnonymous · 22/10/2023 21:44

I love mine & I got it from look fantastic when they had 30% off xx

bingohandjob · 22/10/2023 21:46

Love mine - been going strong for at least several years now I think, really well made.

HungryForSnacks · 22/10/2023 21:49

Another vote! Love mine. First one lasted maybe 8 years and my second one was purchased in 2016 and still going strong.

Dries hair really fast and not too heavy. A friend of mine has a Parlux and Dyson and still prefers the Parlux.

Go for it!

starlingsintheslipstream · 22/10/2023 21:50

Just bought one and really pleased with it. Hated my last (cheap) one. It pained me that I couldn't find a discount code anywhere though. Bought mine direct from Parlux in the end.

ThePoshUns · 22/10/2023 21:51

I love mine , bought it at least 10 years ago after reading about them on MN, great little and powerful drier

OllieCollieWoo · 22/10/2023 22:08

I got one 12 yrs ago (following posts on MN raving about them). It's still going strong and been worth what I paid for it (I had never had what I consider to be an expensive hairdryer before).

motleymop · 22/10/2023 22:12

Yeah I like mine a lot, bought several years ago after getting annoyed with rubbish Babyliss etc.

Corcra · 23/10/2023 00:22

Love mine. I'd definitely recommend it.

bronkie · 23/10/2023 00:23

I've had mine 3 years and love it.

PowerTulle · 23/10/2023 00:29

Completely worth it! I had so many different hairdryers before and none of them come close. I’ve had it around 6 years now, still amazing. If it ever conks out I’ll get Parlux again.

Princessfluffy · 23/10/2023 07:54

You will spend fewer hours of your life drying your hair. I love mine.

Nawh · 23/10/2023 07:56

I really like mine. It’s powerful but not too loud (as I shower and dry my hair before kids get up). I got 20% off pampa plus Quidco cash back (only like 1% but still counts)

DisplayPurposesOnly · 23/10/2023 07:59

Love mine. Only had cheap ones before. This dries my hair faster and smoother, doesn't have a shrill whine. At least nine years old now.

breadandbutter99 · 23/10/2023 08:04

Definitely!

Massivescreen · 23/10/2023 08:05

Agree with all the posts. I bought mine after reading about this brand on mumsnet. I’d never bought an expensive dryer before. It’s been going years now and I’ve also bought my two daughters one each too. Definitely recommend! My hairdresser has the same one as I have.

notacooldad · 23/10/2023 08:14

I’ve had mine for years now and it’s a good hairdryer. However my favourite one, which is still going strong is by Tres Somme.
I only got the Parlux because my son kept using my hairdryer and it became easier to get a new one.
This was about 11 years ago and both hairdryers are still in regular use.

blotchyredanditichy · 23/10/2023 08:43

Bought mine last year and would never go back. Dries really quickly even using cooler settings. Not to heavy.

Paddingtonthebear · 23/10/2023 08:44

Yes they are worth it. I’ve had the Powerlight 385 for about 6 years.

avocadotofu · 23/10/2023 08:50

I also really like mine, I've had it for about 6 years and it still works perfectly.

AuntieMarys · 23/10/2023 08:54

I have a Dyson and Parlux.. Dyson is lighter but I prefer Parlux.

IHeartKingThistle · 23/10/2023 08:55

Looooove mine. I hate drying my hair and it makes it much quicker.

Libraryloiterer · 23/10/2023 08:56

Going against the grain but I hate mine, seems to frazzle my hair even on the lowest setting

martinisforeveryone · 23/10/2023 09:06

I couldn’t run to Parlux, so I got one of the more expensive ETI models. Have had it for around 14 years and it’s still brilliant.

Coastalcreeksider · 23/10/2023 09:18

I had a Parlux I think it was the compact one, it lasted only four years. I went back to BabyLiss and that's been going about eight years, all my previous hairdyers lasted around eight to ten years.

I'd like to try the Parlux again so might have a look at them online and maybe get another one but not the compact version.
