Can anyone advise on moving from highlighted blonde hair back to natural brown?
I’ve had blonde highlights for over 10 years in my medium brown hair. T section with blended roots to soften regrowth. I like it, and I find being lighter blends the greys well, and adds some texture to my fine hair. However, it is expensive (I only go every 4 months but it does add up) and I’m also keen for a change. My natural brown is a nice colour - cool ashy brown tones.
I’ve got an appointment next week. How do I go about changing it? Is it best to blend in brown low lights through for a gradual transition? Or do I go for an all over colour in the salon? Or even risk a box dye?
Also, how would I manage the grey once it’s brown. Is it easy enough to do at home? When I’ve used box dyes in the past I find they often have red undertones which isn’t my vibe - but perhaps that was my poor choice of colour!
