Hair despair - fringe?

I have traditionally had very thick, wavy hair which goes frizzy and curly easily.
my problem in the past was always too much hair! But now I’m late forties and on HRT, it’s awful. Dry, brittle, thinning a lot at the front. Not noticeable by others I think, but definitely by me.
not sure what to do. It’s currently a long bob with an think wispy fringe with side parting.
the side parting is now too high, and the fringe is a couple of crispy curls.
shall I have the fringe thicker?
dont know what to do 😞

I had a fringe cut in 2 years back and grew it out straight away. I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it either so I didn’t go and have it trimmed as it grew, my hair is wavy so I sort of pushed it ack into my hair.

try pinning a thicker section of hair to make a fringe ( Kirby grips or headband) and wear that in the house a while. See if you like the look.

wispy hair is my nemesis now , going grey and looks fuzzy . It’s regrowing after hair loss so has a mind of its own too

Are you a 'boho scarf around the head' person?
Is there a curly hair specialist near you - they could give you focused advice.?
I'm 53 and take biotin, my hair and nails are fine.

Thank you, I’ll look at biotin.
not really a scarf type . I’ve had a fringe before, side parted. I did like it but I’ve never had it thick, it would need to be thick now as it’s so brittle and wispy.
I guess I’m nervous of cutting it and then it looks odd cos it’s so thick? And starts too high up?

Try to find a hairdresser who specialises in curly cuts. I'm sure they'd be able to shape your hair to its best advantage.

Thicker fringes can be hard to keep straight if your hair is wavy but worth a go - would grow out quite quick or you could clip it back if it didn’t suit.

Maybe try a keratin smoothing treatment if you do get one.
