capsule wardrobe for 1 week holiday

Have put on a load of weight and am not going to lose it in time for our Easter holiday. Just tried on all of last summer's clothes and it's a bit not to mention a bit .
Will make an effort to lose weight before the summer so don't want to invest too much in new clothes for this hol. Usually I like to take lots of different clothes so I can pick and choose what I wear. For this holiday, just want to be sure I have enough to get by on. Happy to wash things through. So, those of you who travel light, what is the minimum I'll need?
We're going to Spain, hoping weather will be reasonable. Daytime will be beach/pool/out and about exploring. Evenings will just be eating out (ie no clubbing!) How much of what will I need? (being someone who normally just chucks a ton of stuff in a suitcase and brings back more unworn that worn!)

You need MrsBadger - she's fab on capsule wardrobes.

Thanks JackieNo, hopefully she'll be along soon then. But still happy to hear from others!

Will you be needing to buy new swimwear of any sort?

ladette · 08/03/2008 16:59

Think I'm ok for swimwear - won't be doing much swimming as water will be too cold at this time of yeat. So a bikini top with shorts will do for sunbathing. But actually, I'd better just check that the bikini tops will still fit - thanks for reminding me.
Did you have a suggestion then, just incase nothing fits?

Not particularly, but if you needed something I could try to find stuff (I'm OK on finding specific things, just not so good on the overview things)

just tried on 3 bikini tops. 2 are ok (by virtue of being transformed from last year's modest breast covering models to more revealing nipple covering models this year!) Not brave enough to try the bottoms but think am likely to wear just with shorts anyway.

That'll save you a bit of money, anyway.
