We are planning a girlie spa weekend and would like to go somewhere that is not too far from London (about 1-2 hours by train). Can anyone recommend a nice spa? Feeling relaxed just thinking about it

whilltebury hall is good.

I have been to the day spa, so can't comment on the accommodation.

I think sometimes its nice not to share your spa break with oodles of other people on business/families/hen weekends/stag parties/couples etc

I loved ragdale because it was just spa and you could wear your robe to dinner

Pennyhill Park isn't by the sea, sorry, but is pretty close to London and was wonderful when dp and I went there.

Many thanks for all the messages, is there anyone else with a recommendation, just checking out all the websites, can't believe how expensive spa treats are......but hopefully well worth it
