can anyone find me shoes to wear with jeans?

I am lost as to what to wear with them. I have some high-heeled tan ankle boots - great but not practical so rarely get worn. and I have some pale blue timberlands - love love love them, but feel they lack a certaan grace. fine for weekend and playground but not too good for the work (yep I can and do wear jeans at work) or when I just want to feel a bit smarter. jeans are boot legs and one pair of bf jeans. don;t try to tell me to wear skinny jeans. I refuse.

boots
I wear these boots (have both colours) they are comfy and high but not too high. I wear my jeans to the floor so all you see is a bit of a toe and a tiny bit of heel.

I also have some warngler boots but they dont make them anymore.

Also if you change your mind about skinny you can wear with these too

not so sure about those widgypog. I can remember slouchy boots first time round. always difficult to see things afresh when you can remember them from 20 years ago.

Why not a pair of flattish court shoes / ballet pumps??? Maybe with a nice T bar or a strap? Does it have to be boots?

Blondilocks · 08/03/2008 19:58

With my jeans I wear skechers, ballet pumps, flat boots, high heeled boots, little sandals in summer, flip flops ....

gemmummy · 08/03/2008 19:58

ballet pumps. look lovely with jeans/shirts and smart tops. comfy too.

florenceuk · 08/03/2008 20:00

campers or camper look-a-likes?

janeite · 08/03/2008 20:01

Wedges. Fly do some fab ones.

gemmummy · 08/03/2008 20:03

janeite, good call. i love my fly london wedges, from about 2 years ago and still look nice and smart.

ok hat woman , sorry didnt think to ask you age. I also am quite short so need the height. if you can get away with it I think ballet pumps look lovely , alas am too short.

Also with my slouch jeans i wear plain coloured converse pumps again not sure if they have been round before

Fillyjonk · 09/03/2008 14:17

oh god i would only wear campers or similar really

anything else looks frumpy imo

but again, i remember a lot of this stuff frin 1st time round...

hatwoman · 09/03/2008 17:24

I can;t do ballet pumps - just too flat. and, tbh, I don;t actually like them that much.

Ah! I have some utterly divine silver pointy brogues from Office. They are quite marvellous, and they look very good with jeans.

hatwoman · 09/03/2008 17:28

ok when you say campers do you mean the retro trainer type? just looked at their website and there's every kind of shoe imaginable. I'm fine in summer - can do flip flops, sandals etc, it's just finding something between my timberlands and flip flops in terms of weight and between my timberlands and my smart high heeled ankle boots in terms of smartness.

was wondering what campers are too..I dont know much do i?

florenceuk · 09/03/2008 18:31

i have (ahem) quite a few pairs of campers - in winter I have retro leather pair (pelosa style) and in summer I wear ballet type pair (although my ones from last year are a bit stinky). I also have a converse-type leather pair in grey which are lighter in the sole than the retro leather pair so can wear with or without socks. I just reckon they are slightly more formal than a standard sneaker, but still comfy and reasonably robust to winter weather. They are flat though, so not for those who insist on high heels!
