Please be honest (but kind) Feel
very insecure going to wedding on Saturday in Milan. Big fashion /money crowd &formal dress code. Am 42 and have 4 kids and more at home in leggings and a muddy barber. Does this look OK? Too boring ? Feel like my arms lool like a man ! Help!

You look stunning! But then a face like that and you could wear anything x have fun and remember, its about the bride. So don't worry.

Sexnotgender · 17/10/2023 21:51

You look FABULOUS. Enjoy the wedding.

shouldntbeonhereagain · 17/10/2023 21:57

Thank you so much. It is so terrifying and I feel so frumpy and clueless! You are absolutely right ofcourse - it is all about the bride. Normally fine at weddings..but Milan and models and money makes for a proper stress. Just don’t want to let the UK side (or my husband) down!

You look absolutely gorgeous!

bubbletubble · 17/10/2023 22:08

You really do look beautiful. Have a great time at the wedding.

Thankyou all. It really has made me feel
better ( along with several G and T’s) to have some positive comments and reassurance. I do know how unimportant this is in the grand scheme of things-but it still seems a big deal right now !

Love your skirt. Do you mind if I ask where it’s from? Thanks

shouldntbeonhereagain · 17/10/2023 22:55

Would like to say “Prada darling”.. It’s by Zara (from TK Max £14.99!)

Oh great find! Have a fabulous time.

Tuck the top in and lose the shawl, and you’ll look great. If you’re worried about being cold, wear a vest and opaque tights underneath, nobody will see. In fact you could wear cropped leggings underneath and keep your ankles bare.

shouldntbeonhereagain · 18/10/2023 22:50

It’s not the cold stuff much as the ( 2 hour) Catholic mass where you have to keep your shoulders covered in the church! Is the shawl bad?!

To be fair when I first looked at the photo I thought it was a pashmina. If it’s a patterned shawl it’s a bit different.

Persiana · 19/10/2023 11:03

I love it. It looks effortlessly sophisticated and suits you, not too try hard. Have fun!

Blueberrycreampie · 19/10/2023 11:11

I am being totally honest - you look amazing!

Myfabby · 19/10/2023 18:25

very elegant. I think the bag doesn't do the outfit any justice though.

something like this?

You look really great. But, you know, if you didn't, would it really matter? When I was young, my mother would reassure me by saying no-one was looking at me. It didnt help then, but now I'm much older I realise how true it is. You sound like you have a full life, 4 kids, dh. You could just try and just sit back, enjoy the show, remember that you are not the focus of the day. I mean that in a good way, so you can relax, have a good time, model watch, and chill.
