Jewellery Help for a special birthday

I'd like to get DD something special for her 21st. I'm a little stuck for ideas though and whilst she'll get my jewellery eventually (this will be split between her and her siblings) I want this to be something from me to her.

I have a little time to save so looking at about spending up to £1k.

Any ideas where to look for something lovely please?

Thank you

I got DD the Tiffany heart tag and key necklace. It was the ‘key of the door’ idea.

Thank you, I'll have a look. I got her a chain/pendant for her 18th which she loves though so am swaying more towards a ring possibly. I think I like the idea of an antique / repurposed piece.

Why dont you have a look at local auction rooms? Lots of lovely vintage pieces and less likely to be like anyone else. Most auction rooms now have their catalogue online through saleroom. Com etc

What does she like best eg is she into earrings or a chain or are rings her thing

I think for your budget but of course not knowing her and what she likes my immediate thoughts would be a watch or diamond studs

Ask her! Jewellery is very personal, nothing worse than receiving a very expensive piece that isn’t your style, it’s happened to me this week!

I second the auction house idea.

I might take her to choose something to make sure she likes it. I've been very good at choosing well for her up till now but this has to be something special, for various reasons.

I've been keeping an eye on antique jewellery etc as I love the idea of something with some history.

Diamond studs

Supportyourlocal · 18/10/2023 16:49

My teens all have necklaces with there names on from Say it with diamonds but if you want expensive Tiffany, Dior or any luxury brand.

She’ll get diamond studs eventually when I pass. I was hoping for a new piece to give her as a reminder of me.
