It’s a beautiful dress @blackdressy but it seems a shame to go to a baby shower head to toe in black so if it’s that dress or nothing then I think you should introduce some colour with the shoe. Otherwise it’s going to look a bit funereal.

What sort of thing do you normally wear?

I love the Esska shoes but would also wear ankle boots with that sort of dress!

I'm pretty casual these days, also still getting back down to my pre baby waistline! Between size 8-10.

I like dresses for events/ occasions and black seems classy, possibly glam and easy!

I'm quite short, 5 2, so although I love ankle boots, I wouldn't wear them with this length dress, I'd prefer either knee length boots, or shoes/ heels.. but not too high and tottery, want to be fairly comfortable

Gorgeous black dress (& I don't generally wear black!) Can really add colour with jewellery or a wrap if you wanted to 'lift' it!!

Why not black? I dunno just a christening is a jolly happy occasion. Seems a shame to wear black. Like you probably wouldn’t to a wedding.

i speak as someone who wears a lot of black and have to make a conscious effort not to, so I’m also a hypocrite! 😬

The burgundy wrap dress is nice enough but the original Reiss dress is beautiful. I would happily wear that with the low heel suede boots (JL, Boden, Dune etc) I suggested before.
A natural coloured coat perhaps?
