Got a 40th to go to but not sure what to wear. It's in a nice cool bar in in South East London - so think a bit alternative but not totally arty. As a mum in my 40s, I feel totally stuck clothes wise. Normally I wear jeans and jumpers, lots of black. In the summer, I would have worn a nice jumpsuit but it's cold now. I am also petite so a lot of the current fashions overwhelm me i.e. midi satin skirts just make me look old but am too old for short skirts or dresses. I do have a pair of leather trousers but not sure what to wear on top without going down the boring 90s look of trousers and a nice top. Any ideas - what would you wear this time of year?
