Ok not the jewels...but he is going for a week at the beginning of April. An Uber-Geek conference for 5 days, so plenty of opportunities for him to sneak off.

I've never been to the states and am hideously jealous. Have been promised 'gifts'.

What shall I demand request?

Godiva Chocolate from their chocolate shop godiva

Have a friend who cooks (Meridian) who swears by Toll House chocolate chips as well, so if you like cooking get those too!

Send him to Old Navy for some fab summer Tee's too.

Frizbe · 08/03/2008 09:41

that was meant to be 'the' not their

mcnoodle · 12/03/2008 15:08

Thanks all for ideas - broadband been out so sorry for not responding sooner.

Mmmm - yes, Benefit stuff is definately a good plan.

No girls here, just a ds - but am hoping DH will be able to stock up on good clothes for summer.

He's been booked into wonderful 5* hotel right in Union Square. God my jealousy knows NO bounds atm.

Must leave terrible voluntary sector job and become private sector executive type with special responsbility for overseas conferences.

Gagggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

ralph lauren, timberland, and dkny are all so much cheaper in America. Crocs too! I also love the children's Place, and Nautica, lovely clothes that wash up really well.

coffee creamer in all sorts of flavours that you can't get in this country. Hawiaan bread, chips ahoy cookies. All sort of spice mixes.

Carmex lip salve, huge bottles of ibuprofen, for less than $5.

I brought back three extra cases when we went to America.
