Help! 14yr old shoes for party

Please help me! We have a family party and my 14yr old needs some nice shoes but I have no idea where to look! She is adult size and doesn’t want heels or to look too grown up. She’s thinking of a black sequin mini skirt paired with a long sleeve casual top, but what shoes to go with it and where from? I’m so useless at fashion.

I'd be tempted to get some shiny new converse, either low or high top to go with that outfit (but I may be hopelessly out of touch).

Either black to match or a burgundy or pink or something?

If they're pretty new I think they look smart enough for a party but without being either heels or a proper formal shoe?

DD (14) wears her white converse for going out a lot.

Docs would look cool with that outfit too I think.

My niece wore white DMs with her wedding dress and it looked utterly cool so I second the idea of DMs with her outfit.

Yeh I was going to say Converse too. You can get fancy ones in velvet or sequins. Very nice.

Thanks for the suggestions. Ran them past DD and she doesn’t want Converse or DMs! Back to the drawing board! I ask her what her friends/peers wear and she say she doesn’t know or doesn’t like what they wear - I’m close to giving up!

Is she planning to wear black tights with the black miniskirt? If so, she could wear chunky black ankle boots, or knee high flat chunky boots, or chunky loafers, there’s really nice biker boots around, or cheaper style patent dr martens.

What does she normally wear if not converse or DMs? Can she wear her school shoes?

Or Yy some nice ballet flats?
