Can anyone help me find a coat like this?

Wool or wool mix navy blue winter coat. The material is soft to touch. It is available in a petite length. Dark blue or black buttons but not all the way up and down the coat - I only want a max of 2 buttons high but can be double breasted. I’ve looked all over for something like this but to no avail. I tried one from Biden but the material wasn’t soft enough and it was too boxy and shapeless and didn’t drape nicely. I would be prepared to pay up to £300. I saw one from Tommy Hilfiger but it had brown buttons which I wasn’t keen on. I want something that is simple, elegant and unfussy with a bit of shape and nice material. Any ideas?

You can easily change the buttons if that was the only issue. But funnily enough I find brown buttons a lot more elegant on a navy coat 🙂

This one? I have one from that I bought here a few years ago and it's incredible quality

That looks lovely but I want something with more of a waist and bit more fitted.

Came on to suggest Hobbs.

I'm not very big and the normal length in Hobbs (inc arm length and shoulder width) was fine on me. So you might get away with a normal fit on there, opening up your style options...

Yes, I was going to suggest Hobbs too - the Tilda coat. I have it in black - a great coat, and feels soft to touch.

I don't know where that coat is but you were smart to stay away from the brown buttons.

I have one too, I was really impressed with all the little tailoring details, which I hadn’t expected in a coat in this price range, back slit, good quality lining with secret internal pocket, external breast pocket, chain hanger, cuff details, under collar contrast fabric. Really good finish, good fabric. It isn’t the warmest coat and the fit is tailored so you would be hard put to layer under it, so if you wanted it as your main winter coat I wouldn’t, but as a smart coat it looks and feels fabulous.

Love all you ladies. Being a New Yorker I didn't know Hobbs. The petites are wonderful.
