not a suit, unless a satin tuxedo type with nowt under

def glam, probably not quite cocktail dress though

I would go for skirt or trousers (tailored) and a top with a little bit of bling with heels and or a dress and spangly cardi.

Where about is it? What is it's purpose?

Usually when the invite says lounge suits for men it would be smart and formal for women I would assume although nt necessruky a full on cocktail dress, but a dress certainly wouldn't be out of place IME.

Black tie would definitely mean cocktail dress or even long dresses.
