How do I get luxurious gorgeous grey hair?

Hair is now completely grey - whitish at the front, more of a dirty grey at the back. I have straight thickish hair.

Would love it to look luxurious and gorgeous rather than drab. How do I put some depth and 'quality' into the colour? The purple shampoos I've tried just give it a violet tinge.

Any advice or products to recommend?

White and grey hair often has a more wiry texture than pigmented hair dye to ageing in the follicles. Consider whether you can use products to smooth and relax. Salon things like olaplex or a keratin/brazilian blow dry might work.
For colour it is about reducing any yellowing in the whiter parts in particular. Some purple shampoos are better than others, but can often be drying and make the coarseness worse. I use a cheapo one from Amazon called Bold Uniq but not every shampoo because it is quite drying. It also can stain fingernails and grout so be careful.
