Best moisturising deep conditioning treatment for dry and bleached hair?

Flutterbye22 · 09/10/2023 04:34

Recommendations please? My hair is THIRSTY from being bleached. Currently using Philip Kingsley elasticiser which is brilliant, but any other recommendations welcome. Looking for moisturising treatments rather than any protein treatments like olaplex, k18 etc

I've never found anything better than elastizier, I leave it on all day with my hair tied in a bun and then wash it that night, amazing difference.

Mercurial123 · 09/10/2023 06:33

Davines OI hair butter is one of the best I've used. K18 and Olaplex aren't protein treatments.

Bleach London reincarnation mask

BatshitCrazyWoman · 09/10/2023 06:40

Michael Van Clarke's 3 more inches mask. No silicones. Wear overnight, wash off in the morning. It's transformed my hair.

@Flutterbye22 That and olaplex blonde shampoo has transformed my hair! The bleach London blonde conditioner is good too, the shampoo is too drying. Kerastase blonde absolut overnight mask is also beautiful and smells amazing!

ChilliPB · 09/10/2023 08:02

I love the Christophe Robin prickly pear mask. It’s expensive, but it’s so rich that I don’t need to use much, and so it lasts ages.

I tried Olaplex and it made absolutely no difference to my hair :( I def think my hair needs moisture moisture moisture, so that’s why I’m keen to find something super hydrating. I’ll look into bleach London! Also a big lover of Kerastase!

Oil is what you need so coconut or almond oil or even olive oil. Rubbed into the scalp and worked down the hair shaft. At least half an hour but over night is best,I just sleep with a towel on the pillow. In the shower put shampoo directly on your hair and THEN water and wash twice.

MorrisZapp · 09/10/2023 08:59

I don't like oil on my bleached hair. It feels heavy and it takes harsh washing to remove it do it's counter productive.

Interesting, I always rinse my hair with water before shampooing. Is that incorrect? I’ll try applying some coconut oil to my hair before bed xx

I feel similar but then my hair looks so frazzled it’s a bit like straw

Just picked up the Bleach London Reincarnation mask in TK Maxx. I'll give it a good run at the weekend.

KirstenBlest · 10/10/2023 12:15

Castor oil overnight then washed out.

The reincarnation mask is great, actually very good value too even at full price which is a tenner.

I liked it so much I've bought the matching shampoo and conditioner 😂

Superdrug has the shampoo for 12 quid but I got both on look fantastic for 18 quid, have used them and they left my hair really silky.

The formula contains castor oil so it's a bit similar to Bumble and Bumble hairdresser's oil range. The smell is very food like, quite nice for autumn as it's like warm baking 😊

bingohandjob · 15/10/2023 22:40

I've been using this for several months now www.lookfantastic.com/pureology-colour-fanatic-spray-200ml/11124912.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwm66pBhDQARIsALIR2zBWp0ou270kQqwAn7DfUvZuw69KMTE9e70HsbU0UaKWHSxvLbXW-pUaAruoEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds - I've got highlighted shoulder length hair. I use Olaplex (occasionally the Blonde one) most regularly plus occasionally a KMS deep cleanse shampoo every 4 or 5 washes. The Pureology Color Fanatic is brilliant for my hair - leave in conditioner that I use every time I wash my hair after towel drying it - about 8 sprays all over, air dry to about 90% dry then I use a Big Hair for some volume/bounce and my hair has never looked or felt so good in years. I've gone through a bottle and immediately ordered a replacement.

AgenceGrateau · 15/10/2023 22:57

Another shout for reincarnation mask, olaplex is great - use no more frequently than every 2-3 weeks.
Moroccanoil is amazing for instant hydration, I use after every hair wash.
Avoid putting coconut oil on at all, or use very sparingly (like olaplex, no more than once or twice a month), it can seal the cuticle and stop moisture getting in so your hair ends up more brittle.
