Sassy slippers for real life

Looking for slippers that are not frumpy and machine washable, mule style, closed toe. Love the UGG ones but spilt cooking oil on them on day one and put off suede since. Will be grateful for any pointers.

Ugg slippers are over priced and too narrow imo.

All slippers tend to be a bit frumpy I reckon.

Not sure there's anything mildly practical yet trendy out there buy happy to be corrected - my cold feet will thank you.

I wear Josef Seibel's Betsy Clogs as slippers downstairs. Upstairs I wear Draper's of Glastonbury Ellen slippers. I hate slippery slippers.

What do you wear when climbing the stairs?
