'Natural' hair colour

Change in dress code at work means my hair now needs to be a natural colour.

It is currently blonde with pink highlights. Without any intervention, it is completely grey. I wear it short.

What can I get away with without getting a massive bollocking? Am wondering about silver grey....

Blimey, where do you work? How do you feel about them telling you what you can do about your hair?

BusySittingDown · 05/10/2023 18:03

FFS, I think as a grown adult you should be able to have any hair colour you want. It's ridiculous!

BusySittingDown · 05/10/2023 18:05

And to answer your question, I think you could get away with silver grey yes but blonde and pink sounds lovely, such a shame to have to change!

Jennalong · 05/10/2023 18:05

If you like your hair blonde , why change , just get the pink bits dyed to match.

AllTheWatersTurnedToClouds · 05/10/2023 18:05

They just mean not pink/blue/green etc - hair colours that 'appear in nature'

So you're fine with blonde - would just have to lose the pink.

It's very old fashioned to have such a policy though

MintJulia · 05/10/2023 18:07

You can be blonde if you want, just not pink&blue.

What are they going to do? Ask for evidence !!

In a school.

And the answer is, massively fucked off.

I know I don't need to be grey. I am thinking of going for that as something different.
