Rainproof footwear I can drive in

I've not been driving long and I hate driving in shoes that are too stiff. I have driven in DMs once or twice, but don’t feel safe doing so. My usual footwear in the car are Rocket Dogs. But now autumn is coming my feet get wet walking from the house to the car and, and though I can make time here to switch shoes I don't tend to have enough time between jobs. So what I need is a soft enough pair of something that will keep my feet dry out of the car but dint cost the earth. Any ideas?

Leather trainers, or plastic if you're on a budget

Leather trainers? I've got Nike high tops, no wet feet.
